In this workshop, Charlie will guide the participants in exploring care practices that are grounded in liberation, disability justice and community building. Adapted from their previous Bridging Self and Community Care workshops, this iteration orients to the importance of care ecosystems for the uniquely intense role we hold as intimacy professionals.
As intimacy coordinators and directors, we facilitate intimacy through connection, vulnerability and storytelling. From negotiating rates to mental health first aid, and crunchy conversations, our job can take an intense toll on our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. This workshop gives an opportunity to reflect on all of the above; the goal is to provide a self reflection and connection point amongst peers with shared lived experience.
Charlie Frost Olivares is a queer and trans intimacy coordinator, intimacy director and artist. Use this opportunity to brainstorm your needs, boundaries and desires for intimacy work going into 2026, and find accountability buddies with similar intentions along the way!
